Safety at The Range at Austin is a priority. To help insure that all shooters and employees are safe The Range at Austin requires that shooters wanting to rent either:
Have their own firearm with them.
Have brought a friend or family member to accompany them.
At no point in time is The Range at Austin obligated to rent a firearm to any shooter whether the shooter(s) have their own firearm or have brought a friend or family member.
When renting a firearm, the shooter is required to use The Range at Austin’s ammunition. If a shooter is using their own personal ammunition through a rented firearm the Range Safety Officer and any of The Range staff members reserve the right to remove the renter from the firing line.Rental Guns
Pistols, Carbine Pistols, Fully Automatic Firearms, and Pistol Caliber Ammunition
To rent a pistol, a carbine pistol, a fully automatic firearm or purchase pistol caliber ammunition, the purchaser must be at least 21 years of age or older.
A carbine pistol is defined by having a brace attached to the rear of the firearm where the stock would be.
Pistol caliber ammunition includes but is not limited to 380 ACP, 9mm, 40 S&W, 10mm, and 45 ACP, 38 Special, 357 Magnum, 44 Magnum, 45 Colt.
Rifles, Shotguns, and Rifle Caliber Ammunition
To rent a rifle or shotgun the purchaser must be at least 18 years of age or older.
A rifle defined is anything that has an actual stock on the rear of the rifle.
Rifle Caliber ammunition includes but not is limited to .223, 5.56, 7.62×39, .308.
Shotgun ammunition includes but is not limited 12 gauge, 20 gauge, and 410.
*If anyone under the required age limit is with a parent or guardian, who is above the required age limit to rent, they are still allowed to shoot the rented firearm. However, all payments must come from the parent or guardian who is taking responsibility of the rented firearm.Guns Available To Rent
