Blue to Purple Belt Test
Course of Fire
- At 25 yds, draw, fire (5) rounds to the body of T1. [7 seconds]
- While advancing from 10-5 yds, draw, fire (2) rounds to the body and (1) round to the head of T1. [4 seconds]
- While retreating from 5-10 yds, draw, fire (2) rounds to the body and (1) round to the head of T1. [4 seconds]
- **Stage the gun with a round in the chamber and an empty magazine.
At 7 yds, draw, fire (1) round to the body of T1, perform an emergency reload, fire (1) round to the body of T1. Repeat 3 times. [6 seconds] - **Stage the gun with exactly 10 rounds.
At 5 yds, draw, fire (10) rounds to the body of T1, perform an emergency reload, fire (1) round to the body of T1. [8 seconds] - **Stage the gun with alternating live/dummy rounds. Dummy round in the chamber.
From presentation with trigger prepped, attempt to fire, perform a tap-rack malfunction clear, fire (1) round to the body of T1. Repeat 3 times. To pass, students must remove their finger from the trigger guard. [2 seconds] - Facing up range at 10 yds, turn, draw, fire (2) rounds to the body of each T1-T3, perform a reload, fire (2) rounds to the body of each T1-T3. Student choice of direction and type of reload. [11 seconds]
- At 5 yds, draw, fire (1) round to the body of T1, (2) rounds to the body of T2, (3) rounds to the body of T3, strong hand only. [5 seconds]
- At 5 yds, draw, transfer the firearm to your week hand, fire (1) round to the body of T1, (2) rounds to the body of T2, (3) rounds to the body of T3, week hand only. [7 seconds]
Scoring Guidelines
Students must make only Alpha/Charlie hits.
Students must make total par time on all strings.
Students must make draw par time on 7 out of 10 strings.
