This course meets the firearms training required by DPS to complete the initial certification or Biannual recertification for a PSB Level 3 Security Qualification. Upon completion of your online course with the vendor of your choice, you will receive a certificate of course completion for the online training. The certificate will be signed by our DPS Level 3 Certified Firearms Instructors upon successful completion of the range qualification.
The pistol course of fire consists of 20 rounds fired at 3 yards, 20 rounds fired at 7 yards, and 10 rounds fired at 15 yards. There is currently no requirement to draw from a holster during the certification.
